Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF)

The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) is a prestigious national program focused on increasing the number of underrepresented students who will pursue doctorate degrees in core fields in the arts and sciences. Fellowships include mentoring, research stipends, and travel support (conferences, graduate school visits, etc.).

Current 2016-2017 Fellows

Who is eligible?

  • Caltech undergraduate student (sophomore, junior)
  • Meeting GPA requirement (2.5 minimum)
  • Underrepresented minority (URM) student
  • Demonstrated interest in pursing a PhD in a MMUF-approved course of study

Requirements

  • Participate in Bi-Monthly Meetings
  • Attend Annual Regional Conference
  • Participate in Research with a Faculty Mentor
  • Signed Fellow Contract
