CCD Student Clubs and Affinity Spaces

All meetings are held in the Center for Student Services 2nd Floor Common Area. For specific room assignments, please check our online calendar.

Grad/Postdoc Chat - Grad/PD Chat is a great way to meet other underrepresented minority (URM) graduate students and postdocs. This group is facilitated by a licensed psychologist and is open to all who are URM-self identified (African American, Black, Hispanic, Latinx, Asian Pacific Islander, Native American) this confidential space provides resources to address issues of inclusion and equity.

PRISM Grads/Postdocs - LGBTQ+ and Allies are invited to join in socials, awareness building and education around gender, gender identity, sexuality and the intersections of being LGBTQ+ in STEM.

BLAC - The goal of the Black Ladies Association of Caltech is to increase the presence and promote success for African American women in science and technology.

Club Latino/SHPE/CLASES - Club Latino's main objective is to serve as a support group for building a unified community of undergrads, grads, and postdocs of Latin/Spanish descent. We also collaborate to promote understanding of the social and cultural barriers faced by Latino/Latinas and enrich the broader Caltech community with our diverse culture.

Feminist Club – The Feminist Club promotes the discussion of feminist issues on campus and beyond. Our club will hold group discussions, movie nights, outreach to students, bring speakers to campus, provide talks, and more. They can be found on Facebook  ”Caltech Feminist Club

BSCIT/NSBE  - The Black Students of the California Institute of Technology, is a student chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). As such, we aim to advance the careers of Black scientists /engineers and to create career-networking opportunities. In addition, one of the primary goals is to build a community and a social network for African-American students through events.

Married/Partnered Group (MPG) - MPG group provides time  to talk  about   being   a married/partnered woman in STEM and  how  to  navigate  your professional  and personal  lives  in  the  context  of  a competitive environment. Discussion is moderated by a licensed psychologist.

Graduate/Postdoc Women Lunch – This gathering allows grad and postdoc women to explore topics pertinent to their academic, professional and personal lives, having space to share stories and hear from others. Join us for an opportunity to tap into the strengths and supportive network of women at Caltech.
