You can apply directly through the Beaver Breakroom (Caltech Admissions Portal).
All major costs are covered by the program (e.g. travel to Caltech, housing, meals, field trips, bedding and toiletries, etc.). Participants are expected to bring their own spending money, clothes, medication, and other personal items.
All admitted incoming first-year Caltech students are eligible to apply for FSRI.
Incoming cohorts will be of 60 students maximum.
The FSRI summer session is an 11-week experience (3-weeks virtual and 8-weeks on campus).
